The Need for Wireless Survey This session will focus on why a wireless site survey is necessary for all medium to large wireless LAN and wireless broadband installations. The relevance of Site Surveys to business requirements and how to apply methods to different wireless technologies will be outlined.
Types of Wireless Survey Wireless surveys fall into two main categories: predictive and manual. These will be explored in detail and methods to determine which type of survey to select will be discussed.
Wireless Survey TechniquesThis major section will cover, in detail, the practicalities of carrying out a site survey. The session will cover information required prior to carrying out a survey, which software tools are available and how to use these. The session also covers the contents required in a site survey report and how to deal with issues related to planning permission for outdoor installations
Hands-on LabsThroughout the day, delegates will take part in hands-on labs which will include both predictive and manual site surveys utilising state-of-the-art software tools.
