Wireless bridges can be used to interconnect Ethernet networks, connect Ethernet systems to WLANS or to extend the range of WLANs.

Outdoor and indoor bridges can be used fo connect computer networks in different locations miles apart. This provides network designers with the ability create low cost, high bandwidth point-to-point and point-to-multiple data links.

Workgroup/client bridges are wireless LAN client stations providing an interface to wired Ethernet devices. These bridges support wireless security such as WPA2 which means that connected work stations do not require wireless-specific security configuration. Legacy devices which do not, or can not, support a WLAN interface can be connected to WLANs via these devices.

Serial bridges can be used to connect devices with serial interfaces such as RS232 to a WLAN. These enable devices such as Printers or Smart Boards with RS232 connections to become wireless enabled
